We had such a wonderful time on our Knights Templar Tour with Marie! Not only was she knowledgeable about all things Knights Templar and Tomar, she was also witty, fun and engaging throughout our time on the tour. Although we didn’t solve the eternal mysteries of the story of the Knights, we did a fair amount of treasure hunting, spiritual exploration and thoughtful discussion regarding what it must have been like to be a Knight, to be an enemy of the Knights and to be under the protection of the Knights. We saw some things we wouldn’t have known to even look for (evidence of tunnels and buried treasures?) and we truly enjoyed our day spent with Marie. Monica, who joined our tour later in the day was similarly delightful. Born and raised in Tomar, she was able to add historical context to our conversations. I especially liked learning about the hated, (tomb raider?) Salazar.

We appreciated the recommendations for restaurants and other things to do in Tomar and Portugal from both Marie and Peter. Our trip to Portugal far exceeded our expectations. We could not recommend the tour more highly. Ten out of ten!
