Less than one hour by train, or just over an hour by car, from Lisbon lies the Knights Templar Region. A region of castles, abbeys, ancient churches and historic towns. At its centre is the historic town of Tomar, the ancient headquarters of the legendary and romantic Knights Templar Order. Tomar is where Knights Templar Tours is based.

We can pick you up in Lisbon at your hotel or the airport or cruise liner terminal, take you through the beautiful Portuguese countryside and be in the Knights Templar region in just over an hour. At the end of your tour we take you back to your departure point. In between you will enjoy something unique and very different to anything you have experienced anywhere else in the world.
The price of private guided tours depends on the number of people on the tour. Based on a minimum of 2 people travelling the price for a typical tour would be around €180.00 ($195.00 USD) per person plus entrance into Convent of Christ and Almourol Castle. Personal, expert, English speaking guide, local insurance, all local sales and tourist taxes are included.
Transport costs from Lisbon to Tomar and return are not included. We can arrange transport, either public or private, if required please contact us.
